Over the last few months I have been privileged to work with the massively talented, million-selling author, Mark Dawson on a project to create a brand new children’s series. With our shared love of the classic Enid Blyton stories of the 50’s and 60’s, we wanted to write an up-to-date adventure series set in Mark’s native Southwold. The result is the first story in the ‘After School Detective Club’ which brings together Lucy, Max, Joe, Charlie and Charlie’s little dog, Sherlock for the very first time, to solve the mystery of the ‘Smuggler’s Curse’.
With artwork and illustrations by the brilliant Stuart Bache it is a great read for adventurous middle graders – I hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it.
